During drying, the sheet is firmly clamped in place along it's edges to prevent shrinkage.

A complete paper-making system for the laboratory consists of the ADSF®, Sheet Press and a Sheet Dryer.

CanPa® Sheet Dryer

The Sheet Dryer is used to dry moist, pressed sheets of paper produced on the Auto-Dynamic Sheet Former. CanPa's Sheet Dryer consists of a heated enclosure with a sheet positioning mechanism. The moist sheets are clamped to a wire grid suspended over a broad, evenly heated surface in order to ensure a highly regular drying action.
The drying wire is built into and extendable tray for ease of access. The operator pulls the tray forward from the front panel of the dryer and lays the moist sheet upon the wire. The tray is then pushed back into the dryer, and the clamping system is activated by an electric switch.
Drying temperature is electrically controlled and is user adjustable. The dryer temperature is prominently shown on a digital display on the front panel. The Sheet Dryer is designed to ensure operator protection. The unit's enclosure completely shields all hot surfaces from accidental contact. The hot moist air is exhausted toward the rear of the unit by two fans.
